Watch out for stale info

A lot of sites list discounts that no longer exist. Here's what's actually true in 2026:

  • ACP ended June 1, 2024 — the $30/mo internet discount is gone and there's no federal replacement. Don't sign up for it.
  • There is no Hulu, Disney+, or Spotify SNAP/low-income discount — only student discounts are real. Blogs that list them are wrong.
  • Every Kid Outdoors is for ALL 4th graders, not an EBT-specific benefit.
  • Walmart+ Assist auto-renews at the full $98 if you miss the yearly re-verify.
  • Lifeline is one discount per household — phone OR internet, not both.
